Robert E. Castellano (Bobby), 70 passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born in Jersey City, he was a proud lifelong resident of Hoboken, NJ. A dedicated servant of his community, he completed a 31-year tour of duty as a Hoboken Police Officer, retiring with the rank of Detective. Over his career he received various recognition's for his bravery in several dangerous, high risk, and life saving situations. In passing he is survived by his beloved wife former Hoboken Councilwoman Theresa Castellano, (nee Prezioso), his loving sons John and Jesse, his daughter-in-law Amy, his brother Louis, his nephew Steven, and his niece Linda. Robert cherished his family and friends above all things. He was a devoted husband and father, who was known for the kindness he showed to all those who knew him. He lived a life defined by generosity. He sought no enemy and refused no friend.

The Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, February 7th, 11AM at the Church of Our Lady of Grace, Hoboken. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington, New Jersey. Relatives and friends are respectively invited to the continuous visitation on Tuesday, February 6th, beginning at 2PM and concluding at 8PM at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Valet parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street.
