Audrey F. Radigan (nee Bergin), 93 a lifelong Hoboken resident passed away peacefully at Carepoint Health-Hoboken University Medical Center on Saturday, February 10, 2018. Audrey worked at Saint Mary’s Hospital as a switchboard operator until her retirement in 1986. Prior to that she worked at the Sunlight Shop, a family owned and run business. She was an avid knitter and an expert sales person in all yarn textures. The entire staff also provided knitting and crocheting lessons to anyone interested. In her early years she had a job for the well-known Brody’s department store on Willow Avenue. Audrey was predeceased by her husband, Edward Radigan, Sr. in 1974, two sisters, Adelaide De Palma and Grace Herenda. Surviving is her brother William Bergin, her only son, Edward and wife Maureen. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. A great joy in her life was her relationship with her five godchildren, Jerry Dargan, Nikki-Ann Corrado, Gerrard Maher and Allison Gaspari and Bill Herenda. In addition, she was blessed by having many loving friends in Church Towers and proud to be a member of the Golden Girls of Church Towers.


The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 15th at St. Francis RC Church, Hoboken at 10AM. Audrey will be laid to rest with her late husband, Edward at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, New Jersey. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 14th, beginning at 3PM and concluding at 8PM at the Failla-McKnight Memorial Home, 533 Willow Avenue, Hoboken. Valet parking available in rear of memorial home off Sixth Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Charity of choice will be appreciated.
